Accessibility Statement

Last updated:

Jimmy's Carpentry & Trim LLC wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people with disabilities and people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control or a keyboard only.

1. Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content easier to use for people with a wide range of disabilities.

2. What we have done

  • The whole site can be used with a keyboard, and the item in focus is clearly outlined.
  • A "Skip to content" link lets keyboard and screen reader users go straight to the main content.
  • The menu can be opened and closed with the keyboard, keeps focus inside while open, and closes with the Esc key.
  • Every form field has a visible label. Errors are highlighted and announced to screen readers.
  • Images and icons have text alternatives, or are hidden from screen readers when they are only decorative.
  • Text is high contrast, light on a dark background, and pages can be zoomed to 200% without losing content.
  • Animations and parallax effects are turned off when your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Every page is available in English and Spanish, and the page language is set so screen readers pronounce it correctly.
  • The layout adapts to phones, tablets and computers, in portrait or landscape.
  • We do not take payments through this website. You can always reach us directly by phone or email.

3. Known limitations

  • Some decorative scrolling effects may still feel busy to some visitors. Turning on "reduce motion" in your device settings removes them.
  • The service-area map is a picture. The same list of cities is available as text in the estimate form.
  • Links to other websites, such as Google's privacy policy, lead to sites we do not control.

The site has been checked by its developer with keyboard testing and automated tools, but it has not yet been audited by an outside accessibility expert. We keep testing and improving it.

4. Other ways to reach us

If any part of this site is hard to use, you never have to use it to work with us. You can request a free estimate, ask a question or get any information on this site by phone or email, in English or Spanish:
